It may happen to be your childhood desire of cooking good food and leaving people in shock of the dishes you have prepared. However, being a natural-born cook isn't enough all the time. Based on a famous TV show- being a natural is not enough, you need to know the science. Aiming to be a better chef? It is not only an easy task to deal with. It is not easily achieved by just practicing the dishes alone and watching cooking shows. If Gordon Ramsay's or Jamie Oliver's shows perk you up , and if you would strive to be in their shoes one day, then you're in for a wild ride.



To accomplish good quality in being a chef, you need real and a great deal of hard work and dedication. However if you like and love cooking, then that should be a good deal. Things and factors to work through to be a better chef don't have a sequence, but it is good to establish it with appropriate education in an effort to know the basics.



Education: Naturally, education is the foundation of everything. Enrolling in a culinary school defintely is a must and this one ought not be ignored or assumed. Knowing and understanding the basics up to the advanced principles is required. The knowledge of the basics will give you the chance to go "out of the box." Several people will have a natural skill in cooking, but even naturals need to know and understand the basics. Anyone just can step up and cook, though it is still best to possess an existing record at a culinary school.




Practice: Practice makes you better with each day. Initially, things are not done correctly because we are all subject to mistakes. Cooking is formed up on a "trial and error" basis, so you do not have to hesitate to explore and experiment. Being a chef also necessitates efficiency, so practice too on making quality dishes in the shortest possible time.



Be Immersed: One good thing about being able to study on a culinary school is the opportunity to feel the work environment. Being able to handle stress and time management could make you a better chef. Why? A chef works in a fast-paced environment, and from time to time has to work in long hours. It is a very hectic job, so you don't take it lightly. You should expect the inevitable.



Real Life Application: You must step out of your kitchen and your culinary school. You may offer others to make recipes and volunteer to cook food. Other than your family, you must also get feedback from other people. Doing this will make you capable of seeing more variations on what people actually want and seek out in good food.




Love, Love and Love: Most importantly, you should love what you are doing and you will never see anything mentioned to be difficult! When you are interested in what you do, you will never go tired it doesn't matter what. You must be self-motivated and have fun in cooking.
